Islamabad: High Commissioner for Pakistan to the UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan has appreciated efforts being undertaken by the private sector for promotion of Pakistan’s trade abroad. He said this while talking to the participants of Pakistan Trade Show organized jointly by Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and SMH International Karachi at a hotel in London, today. The show will continue till 29th July 2011.
President UK Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Qamar Raza and Commercial Counsellor Pakistan High Commission Ms. Saira Ahmed were also present at the inauguration. The show provides a platform to the exporters to introduce their products to foreign buyers.
The Trade Show includes display and sales of textiles, footwear and handicrafts. Total 14 companies are participating including builders and developers. Denim, ladies apparel, footwear, leather bags and jewellery form a special part of the show. Designers Faiza Samih and Fareeha Qureshi are also participating, besides Pakistan’s biggest fruit and vegetable exporters Chase. To represent art and sculptures. Amin Guljee has also joined the exhibition. On 29th July a seminar titled ‘Discover Business Potential of Pakistan’ will take place at 04:00pm at the Shannon Suites of Copthrone Tara Hotel, Kensington.
