Karachi Metropolitan Corporation removes another 719 signage

 

Karachi, August 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Local Taxes (Advertisement) Department of KMC in its campaign against defaulted signage removed another 16 hoardings, 3 pylon and 700 banners from different areas of the city between 4th and 8th August 2015. The signage removed include 16 advertisement boards from Rashid Minhas Road, Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Shahra-e-Quaideen, Expressway and Sher Shah Suri Road and 3 pylon from Sher Shah Suri Road. A total of 700 defaulted banners were also removed from different locations in the city by local taxes staff.

This may be noted that the local taxes department following the directive of KMC Administrator Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui initiated action against defaulted signage in the city on 1st August and removed about 97 different sign age in the first three days of the drive. The department has so far detached 816 signage on account of non payment of advertisement tax.
