Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Sardar Hussain Babak has said that his government has spent a huge amount of money in education sector which would help increase the literacy rate to a great extent. He said that if we succeeded in raising the level of literacy and awareness among our people then no one would be able to deceive or defeat our people.
This he said while talking to a group of journalists that called on him at his office in Peshawar on Friday. Sardar Babak on this occasion said that Pakhtoon was a brave and fertile nation but unfortunately the previous government had failed to do anything meaningful for them which resulted into decrease of literacy rate in the province.
The Education Minister appealed the teachers, parents and all sections of the society to help assist the government in its efforts for raising literacy rate to 100% in the province. He further added that there was no shortage of resources in the province now adding that now we have got discretion over resources of our province.
