Detained Gilani suffering from abdominal pain: Rattanpuri

New Delhi, February 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): The pro-India National Conference leader and Member of Indian Parliament from occupied Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Rattanpuri, has claimed to have another visit to veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani at his restricted residence in New Delhi.

Ghulam Nabi Rattanpuri in his post on facebook and in a subsequent media interview after the meeting said that the veteran leader was suffering from abdominal pain when he entered his room. “Gilani Sahib was lying on bed with pain in left side of his abdomen,” he said.

“Syed Ali Gilani asked how does the largest democracy justify illegal confinement of an over 83-year-old man with pace-maker, only half-a-kidney, chronic asthma, and prostate problem?” Rattanpuri said. “Gilani Sahib talked about the killings of Muslims in Jammu in 1947 and killings that took place in Kashmir over the past 23 years,” he added.

When asked to comment on India’s past rerecord about accords on Kashmir, Rattanpuri said, “Government of India is at its best to make promises and sign pacts. But when it comes to implementation its policy changes abruptly especially when it comes to Kashmir.” Rattanpuri said: “I have been literally isolated by my party. But this all can’t stop me from speaking the truth.”

To a question, Ghulam Nabi Rattanpuri said that the Sheikh and Mufti dynasties, a reference to descendents of Sheikh Abdullah and Mufti Saeed, were helping India to keep the interests of the Kashmiri people hostage.
