World urged to pressurise India for Kashmir settlement


Srinagar, February 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, has appealed to the international community to impress upon India to revoke the draconian laws from the territory and resolve the Kashmir dispute without any further delay.

Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a meeting of his party leaders and activists belonging to Jammu, Rajori, Poonch, Dooda and Baderwah areas in Jammu urged New Delhi to create a conducive atmosphere for resolving the dispute through meaningful tripartite talks.

The APHC leader expressed serious concern over the situation in border areas of the territory especially after recent tension between Pakistan and India on the Line of Control.

He said that in order to streamline their economies Pakistan and India should resolve the lingering dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

During the meeting, party leaders and activists apprised Zafar Akbar Butt about the recent political situation of their respective areas.
