UNGA adopts resolution demanding end to US economic blockade on Cuba

The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a resolution demanding the end of the United States’ economic blockade on Cuba.

185 countries voted in favour while two, the United States and Israel, voted against and two countries Brazil and Ukraine abstained.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said, before the vote that since 2019, the U.S. government has escalated the siege around our country with the purpose of deliberately inflicting the biggest possible damage on Cuban families.
