The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) signed a program of cooperation with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) for the years of 2019-2020.
The program was signed at the opening of the 13th session of the ISESCO General Conference "Al-Quds Al-Sharif Session" in Morocco's capital Rabat on Thursday, in the attendance of ISESCO Director General Dr. Abdulaziz Altwaijri and UNA Director General Issa Khaireh Robleh.
The program is an extension of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Union and the Organization in Jeddah on February 14, and an enhancement of cooperation between the two specialized institutions of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in the field of media and communications.
The program includes organizing forums, workshops and training sessions for national news agencies of member states. It also includes special programs to activate the role of news agencies in preserving the heritage and rehabilitating media cadres in the member countries.
