Sheikh Aziz paid glowing tributes on martyrdom anniversary

 

Srinagar, August 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, Chief Patron of Kashmir Concern and Mrs Shamim Shawl, Secretary General of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen have paid tributes to the prominent Kashmiri martyred leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz and other martyrs for the sacred cause of freedom.

Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl on the eve of 7th martyrdom anniversary of Sheikh Abdul Aziz in a statement said that he would remain a beacon of light for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the ongoing freedom struggle. His courage, commitment and dedication to the cause was phenomenal, he added. Mrs Shamim Shawl in her statement said, “These sacrifices will not go unnoticed and that day will definitely dawn when we will see an end of occupation.”

His determination, she added, will continue to guide us in this noble path. “On his anniversary we declare without any ambiguity that Kashmiris struggle for self-determination is a genuine movement of the oppressed people of the occupied territory,” she maintained. Sheikh Abdul Aziz was martyred by Indian troops on 11th August in 2008 during leading the “Muzaffarabad chalo” rally against the economical blockade of the Kashmir valley by Hindu extremist forces.
