Prime Minister greets Japanese counterpart on Emperor’s birthday, national day


Islamabad, December 23, 2012 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has extended his warm felicitations to the Prime Minister of Japan His Excellency Mr Yoshihiko Noda on the auspicious occasion of birthday of His Imperial Majesty the Emperor of Japan and their National Day falling on December 23.

In his message to his Japanese counterpart, the Prime Minister said that on this auspicious occasion of the birthday of His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor of Japan and the National Day, the people of Pakistan joins him in expressing their heartiest felicitations to His Excellency and the people of Japan.

The Prime Minister said that it was matter of deep satisfaction for him that Pakistan and Japan enjoy close and cordial relations. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Japan has always remained at the forefront to assist Pakistan in the socio-economic development.

The Prime Minister said that this year, the two countries were celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In this regard, a number of activities have been undertaken in bringing the friendly people further closer, he added.

The Prime Minister wished continued progress and prosperity of Japan and its people.
