Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Sardar Hussain Babak has directed the concerned authorities of Education Department to prepare a list of hardworking, honest and affectionate teachers and presented to him at the earliest. He said that he wanted to establish close contact with these teachers in order to seek their support for promotion of education in the province.
This he said while presiding over a meeting of officers of education department at his office in Peshawar on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, Sardar Hussain Babak said his government was carrying out very radical measures for promotion of education in the province adding that no other government in the province has increase the education budget as much as the present ANP government has done so far.
He said that education institutions were being established in every nook and corner of the province. He said that unlike the old custom of chasing the unwilling and lethargic work force and trying to set them on the right path, he would now pursue the hardworking teachers and promote them as a strategy for motivating others.
Sardar Babak said that corruption was a curse and it needed to be rooted out in the education sector in the first place. He said the education sector was responsible for setting the new generation on the right path and if it was ridden with corruption it would hardly set the new generation on the path to success and prosperity.
Sardar Babak on this occasion said “Salam” to all hardworking honest and kind teachers and hoped that they would help the present government in raising literacy rate in the province.
