Pakistan Navy rescues more than 3000 flood affectees during last 24 hours

 

Karachi, August 04, 2015 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Navy Relief and Rescue operation “Madad” continues to help flood stricken people of Badin, Khairpur, Sukkur, Pano Aqil, Larkana, Rani pur and Gambat. Since the launch of Pakistan Navy Operation Madad, Pakistan Navy teams are working shoulder to shoulder with civil administration for provision of relief to the flood hit populace. During last 24 hours, a total of more than 3000 people including women and children have been evacuated from the flood battered areas and shifted to safer places.

More than 700 stranded people of the flood hit areas are lodged and provided with requisite facilities at the tent city established by Pakistan Navy at Khairpur, in addition relief camps are also established at Sujawal, Badin and Pano Aqil. Collection and distribution of relief goods by Pakistan Navy also continues in flood hit areas of Sindh and Punjab. More than 6 tons of rations are distributed by Commander Pakistan Marines among the flood stricken people of Pano Aqil today.
