Pakistan lodges protest on ceasefire violations by Indian Security Forces in Harpal Sector

 

Islamabad, August 19, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Indian Deputy High Commissioner was called in by the Director General (South Asia and SAARC) today. A protest was lodged against the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian Security Forces in Harpal Sector due to which a Pakistani Civilian Mr. Muhammad Sharif embraced Shahadat.

Indian Security Forces also resorted to unprovoked firing at Jandrot, Nikhial and Karela Sectors, as a result of which one more civilian embraced shahadat and four civilian were injured. The Deputy High Commissioner was conveyed Pakistan’s concern over the continuous unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian security forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary. Pakistan urged India to immediately stop the violations and observe the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding.
