Pakistan, Iran agree to further strengthen parliamentary ties

 

Pakistan and Iran have agreed to further strengthen parliamentary relations and raise bilateral trade volume to five billion dollars.

Understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting between Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani and Speaker Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani in Tehran.

Both sides also discussed bilateral and regional issues.

Mian Raza Rabbani and his delegation also held meetings with other Iranian leaders.

During these meetings, views were exchanged on matters of bilateral and regional interest.

The Chairman Senate is visiting Iran at the invitation of Speaker Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani to attend the oath taking ceremony of President Hassan Rouhani.
