Lahore: Mango Export to USA was a dream of everyone involved in the export of perishables and PHDEC’s un-tired and consistent pursuance of the matter made it possible for Pakistan to dispatch the first ever consignment from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on 27th July, 201.
Dignitaries from US Embassy, DPP, PHDEC, and other institutions were present at the moment on the airport and consignment was dispatched under the guidance and monitoring of APHIS expert Mr. Ian Winborne.
PHDEC feels proud for the confidence, which Ministry of Commerce and allied departments showed in it. The PHDEC staff at every level from administration to Information Technology and from Business Development to Finance department extended their timely help and support to Marketing Team to achieve this goal.
We also feel obliged for the help and support from Pakistan Cargo Services, PIA, Customs, ANF, and other airport staff.
We are also thankful to Mr. Ali Tareen who spared some of his precious time to be with us at the airport.
Last but not least we are thankful to print and electronic media for their coverage of such an historic moment, which will pave a new path for Pakistani exports.
Marketing Team at its part feel proud for being a part of such an organization, this worked like a family to achieve this goal. We are proud for the confidence, which our CEO Mr. Bashir Hussain showed in us. His prudence and timely decision making process was the back bone of the whole exercise and we feel fortunate for serving under such a personality who took care of each and every aspect of this exercise to the extent that he was present at AIIA at late hours to buck up his Marketing Team.
