OIC representative to Palestine meets Turkish ambassador


Ramallah (UNA-OIC) � Representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the State of Palestine Ambassador Ahmed al-Ruwaydi received Turkish Ambassador to Palestine Ghoran Turkoglu at the OIC Representative Office in Ramallah on Wednesday.

The meeting dealt with the decisions of the extraordinary Islamic summit held in Istanbul, in light of US President Donald Trump's announcement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the occupying state and the transfer of the US embassy to it, as well as the follow-ups by the OIC at the political level and support of the Palestinian Authority, under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abbas.

Al-Ruwaydi briefed the Turkish ambassador on the activities and follow-up of the OIC Representation Office in Palestine, particularly the follow-up on the situation in Jerusalem, the repeated attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the programs and projects being carried out through various OIC agencies.
