Motorway Police saved 10 Oil Tankers worth Millions of Rupees by putting their lives in danger

Islamabad: National Highways and Motorway Police have saved 10 Oil Tankers worth millions of rupees with prompt action and putting their lives in danger on G.T Road at Khairpur. As per details, 18 oil tankers were collectively parked near a filling station near Karmabad district Khairpur on G.T road. Some 35 armed persons immediately appeared from an orchard of dates and started firing on the oil tankers which took huge fire.

The Motorway Police officers PO Munawar Ali, PO Mian Javed and DSP NH and MP with his team immediately rushed to the site and managed the traffic at a safer distance on both sides and call the fire brigade of different areas. The local administration and Police were also informed by the attendant. With utmost efforts and by putting their lives in danger by the officers of National Highways and Motorway Police succeeded to take away 10 oil tankers from the site. However, the remaining 08 oil tankers were burnt due to huge fire.

The owners and drivers of these oil tankers and people of the area in saving the lives of the people and oil tankers worth millions of rupees chanted slogans in favour of motorway police. The IG, NH and MP Mr. Zafarullah Khan appreciated the performance of the officers who took part in this incident and announced them with cash reward and CC-I.
