Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Public Relation, Inter-Provincial Coordination and Transport Mian Iftikhar Hussain has stressed the importance of “Itihad-i-Bainul Muslimeen’ conferences so that religious, sectarian, ethnic, linguistic and regional harmony is developed and the designs of anti-nation forces are foiled.
Addressing an Itihad-i-Bainul Muslimeen’s conference organized by Anjuman Hussania at Jamia Hazrat Ali Noushera today he pointed out that our enemies are dividing us on sectarian, ethnic, linguistic and regional, basis and thus destroying us and we must be aware of it and keep our people conscious about the importance of harmony and peace.
Besides others Ali Sarwar Sarhadi and Arshad Ali Farooqi addressed the conference while a large number of Muslim scholars from different schools of thoughts participated.
The minister said that mainly our religious scholars could guide our people towards sectarian, religious, harmony and they must comfort to discharge their some prime duty. He pointed out that either we are suffering terrorism or wherever terrorists could not reach the people fall victims to sectarian or ethnic rivalries.
The minister pointed that the historic sacrifices at Karbala were never aimed at getting to the power corridor but the elimination of injustices and blockade tyrannies and therefore it provide lessons not only to some specific sects or Muslims but the whole humanity.
With regard to the alleged memo by Pakistan Ambassador to American General Mike Mullin, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that there were no crises in Pakistan as both the political and military leadership were unanimous and even then an unsigned memo is always meaningless.
He termed the memo as a conspiracy against democracy and weakening of the aforementioned unanimity. With regard to the threat of resignations from the assemblies by certain quarters Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that such collective resignations will neither help democracy nor democratic forces, therefore, he appreciated the statement of Mian Nawaz sharif wherein he had stated that until the senate elections they will never support any undemocratic move.
He said that it was prime time to work for the integrity of the country and solidarity of the nation, development and strengthening of democratic forces, foiling conspiracies against democracy otherwise the future generations will never forgive us.
