Minister chairs meeting of Government Employees Housing Foundation regarding progress of on-going projects

Islamabad, November 08, 2012 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Housing Sardar Talib Hassan Nakai chairs a meeting of Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation regarding the progress of on going projects in the conference room of Housing Foundation today.

During the meeting The Federal Minister was apprised by concerned officials about the completed projects. The Federal Minister inquired about the reasons of delay in on-going projects which are pending for the last 4-5 years and demanded a deadline of their completion.

The Federal Minister is very much concerned about the development work of G-14/2-3. The Minister said that ‘G-13 Lifestyle’ has been initiated due to our efforts and no hindrance would be tolerated in its development. Moreover, Karachi Apartments, he was informed, have been completed 99% and the remaining tasks would be finished soon. Besides, the meeting was briefed that 400 flats in Karachi have been allotted and balloting for only 120 flats is remaining.

While talking about the subjudice case of Bara kho Scheme, the Minister directed the Foundation to follow the court orders in this respect. The Honorable Minister also expressed his concern regarding the apt utilization of waste 2 acres land of Foundation in G-13 Markaz.

To strictly monitor the progress of these projects and to avoid any sort of delay the Federal Minister instructed the foundation officials to meet after 15 days with new progress report. The meeting was basically a continuation of the previous meeting, held on 25th October 2012, in which it was decided that foundation will give its progress report after every 15 days regarding the accomplishment of the projects.
