Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to repeal Ehtisab Commission Act, 2014.
This decision was taken during a meeting of the provincial cabinet held in Peshawar on Thursday with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in the chair.
Later talking to newsmen, Provincial Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai said the cases of the commission will be transferred to the Provincial Anti-Corruption Establishment.
He said regular employees of the commission will either be given golden hand shake or will be put in the surplus pool.
The Minister said amendments are being made in the laws of Anti-Corruption Establishment to further strengthen the department.
Shaukat Yousafzai said a seven-member committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Minister for Tourism and Youth Affairs Atif Khan for taking steps in connection with the merger of tribal districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
