Jewellery export rises 76% in two months

 

The export of jewellery from the country witnessed an increase of 76.5 percent in first two months of current fiscal year as compared to same period of last year 2017-18.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the jewellery export rose to 1.054 million dollars in July-August (2018-19) against the export worth of 0.597 million dollars recorded during July-August (2017-18).

Meanwhile, export of gems witnessed a slight decrease of 0.35 percent as it declined to 0.571 million dollars in the period under review from 0.573 million dollars in same period of the preceding year.
