Javed asks for steps to resolve Kashmir dispute

Srinagar, August 18, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader Javaid Ahmad Mir has said that the Kashmir dispute is the main hurdle in the friendly relations between Pakistan and India, suggesting that a result-oriented dialogue process among all the three stakeholders can bolster trust for forward movement on the issue.

Javaid Ahmad Mir in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that the dialogue was the only way to resolve all issues. He called upon the Indian leadership to shun the traditional stubbornness and hold talks with Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. He stressed some tangible steps to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute by involving India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir.

Javaid Mir expressed his grief and regret over the killing and injuring of dozens of people in the recent firing and shelling incidents on the Line of Control, saying that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was the main cause of killings.
