Islamabad: Police officials of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Wednesday cut cake on the eve of 2nd anniversary of FM Radio 92.4, with an aim to make the transmission of this radio more attractive for audience.
SSP (Traffic) Dr. Moeen Masood, SP (Traffic) Mir Vais Niaz, Program Manager Ayesha Jameel, staff of ITP FM Radio 92.4 and other police officials as well as people from various fields of life were also present on the ceremony held to cut cake.
Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan, the SSP (Traffic) Dr. Moeen Masood said that ITP’s FM Radio 92.4 is making significant contribution for a disciplined traffic system in the city with motivation to the road users to follow traffic rules and make traveling on roads more secure.
SP Mir Vais Niaz is looking after the affairs of this set up as Station Director while Ayesha Jameel as Program Manager has been making efforts to make the transmission more popular and attain the defined targets.
Several informative as well as entertainment programs are aired through this FM channel daily from 6:30 am to 12 pm. Around 150-200 callers from various age groups call daily on FM Channel (9263184 and 1915) suggesting various opinions, seeking information about traffic situation on various roads during peek hours and desiring to air their favourite entertaining items.
A total of 32 persons including the officials of ITP and volunteers are working with this set up and its RJs are hosting very popular programs.
Dr. Moeen Masood congratulated the whole team of ITP’s FM Radio 92.4 on the second anniversary and said ITP will further assert itself as model police through effective policing. He said that FM Radio project was need of the hour and it has raised awareness among citizens about traffic rules.
