Indian trooper killed in IHK attack


Srinagar, December 27, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian trooper was killed in an attack in Poonch district.

The Indian trooper identified as Rakesh Kumar who was critically injured in an attack in Manikote area of the district later succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, scores of government teachers including Gulzaber Ahmad, Javed Iqbal, Laxman Raj, Anita Sharma, Shanaaz and Sheela Devi were critically injured in police actions in Jammu city during a protest rally in support of their demand.

Over 400 teachers who assembled outside Press Club in Jammu and took out a protest march towards Civil Secretariat to press for their demands. However, police resorted to baton-charge to disperse them. The injured teachers were admitted to a hospital.
