In India, a fact-finding committee on the February 2020 anti-Muslim riots in north-east Delhi has blamed Indian Home Ministry, Delhi Police, Bharatiya Janata Party and some media channels for being complicit in the violence against Muslims.

The five member committee headed by former Indian Supreme Court judge Madan B. Lokur concluded that the home ministry’s careless response, Delhi Police’s blatant complicity in the violence, a divisive media narrative, and BJP’s hate campaign against Muslims are collectively responsible for Delhi’s communal riots.
