All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the miserable plight of illegally detained Kashmiris including Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement said India is victimizing the Kashmiri detainees for challenging its illegal occupation of their homeland.

The spokesman appealed to the world human rights organizations including the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to play their role in the release of the Kashmiri prisoners to save their lives.

Posters appeared in Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory, appealing the United Nations to take steps to settle the Kashmir dispute as per its resolution passed on 5th January 1949.

Meanwhile, Indian troops continued their violent cordon and search operations in different areas of Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch and Shopian districts. The residents of these areas told media that the troops asked the men to come out of their homes and made them stay in the open for hours in severe cold.

A court in Srinagar has sentenced a Kashmiri youth Amir Nabi Wagay to 15 years imprisonment for his affiliation with the freedom struggle under draconian law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

People staged protest demonstrations in Jammu against the anti-people policies of the occupation authorities.
