Minister for National Health Services Abdul Qadir Patel performed the groundbreaking of National Cancer Hospital at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that this project will be completed at a cost of 10.8 billion rupees by June 2025. He regretted that this cancer hospital in the public sector was delayed by the previous government out of ego and stubbornness. He said this delay has increased the cost of this project.

Abdul Qadir Patel said that over the last fourteen months, the present government has made strenuous efforts to bring improvement in every sector including the health.
