Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, Dr. Sania Nishtar has said that government is taking multiple initiatives for enhancing women's role in the development of the country.
Addressing a ceremony at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, she said Pakistani women are very talented, goals-oriented, risk taker and entrepreneurial. She said that the 50 percent plus agenda of Ehsaas programs is aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged women and girls. She said that empowerment of women is beneficial for economy and the government is determined to lift seven million women in Pakistan out of poverty and help them achieve their potential.
