Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has said that despite many difficulties, the government is following a concrete action plan to ensure stability in the society; make accelerated socio-economic uplift of the people possible and get them relieved from the curse of extremism.
Talking to two members of the provincial assembly, Mr. Muhammad Anwar Khan Advocate and Mr. Badshah Saleh from District Dir Upper, who called on him at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Friday, the Governor said, indeed the security and safety of the people, is the top most priority and no effort is being spared to achieve the desired goals.
Referring to various points raised by the members of the provincial assembly, the Governor said, we fully realize the difficulties, which the people of this highly remote and far flung area are facing and concrete steps are underway to ensure security as well their socio-economic well being. Referring to a point, the Governor pointed out that promotion of educational facilities, is indeed the top most priority in this respect and he himself is taking keen interest in particular, as far as this remote district is concerned.
Referring to the measures underway for rehabilitation of the damaged infrastructure of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Campus at Sharingal, the Governor said, he himself has been reviewing the progress on frequent basis and InshaAllah he will spare no efforts not only to ensure rehabilitation of the damaged infrastructure but also to further expand and develop facilities of higher learning under the aegis of this august institution.
The Governor also appreciated the courageous role and spirit of the people as well as the elected representatives of the district in facing difficult circumstances and said that the state of cooperation, they have been extending to the law enforcement agencies in ensuring stability in the area is no doubt praise worthy. This, he added, is also must to ensure better future for the respective people as well. Meanwhile, the members of the provincial assembly apprised the governor about the certain problems, which the people of the area have been facing.
