Federal Minister for education and trainings Sheikh Waqas giving away certificates to the course participants at MPI

 

Islamabad, December 21, 2012 (PPI-OT): Addressing the concluding session of the training course on “Desktop Application Development with Visual Basic” here at Manpower Institute, Zero Point, Islamabad. The Federal Minister for Education and Trainings, Sheikh Waqas Akram said that Human Resource Development is crucial for National Development.

He added that there is a growing realization in our country that success and development depends on the productive utilization of human and material resources. Adequate supply of trained, healthy and motivated manpower is essential to build a healthy democratic society.

No organization can make progress without the capacity and quality of its human resources. He referred to the example of Japan, Malaysia, Korea and the Philippines in this regard. They used manpower as an engine of growth. Therefore, there is a dire need of planned training system. He also emphasized the need to effectively put into use the benefits of training. It should be properly utilized and transferred to others.

Dwelling upon the importance of Information Technology, the Minister said that it is an essential element of competing in a fast faced, knowledge based economy.

Pakistan being a developing country cannot get prosperity unless it enters into the mainstream of development side by side with advanced countries. He congratulated the Manpower Institute for providing a useful forum in this regard. He thanked Director General Manpower Institute Mr. Muhammad Azam for his efforts. Later on the Minister gave away certificates to 66 participants mostly from Baluchistan and FATA as well.
