Federal Investigation Agency rounds up power pilferage gang

 

Multan, August 06, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has busted a gang involved in power pilferage by using different techniques and recovered electronic devices used to reverse electricity meters and making them slow, FIA sources said. A special team of FIA raided in Dunyapur on receiving tip off, held four accused Saqib, Shahab, Salim and Gaga, and recovered electronic devices from their possession.

The accused gang members were found using electronic devices in reversing electricity meters. The FIA team also recovered reversed meters from their possession and other tools from their possession. FIA officials said the gang was involved in reversing electricity meters for a long time at heavy fees. The accused gangsters had stolen electricity worth millions of rupees and investigation was underway.
