Case filed against Untoo for celebrating 14th august


Srinagar, August 18, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have registered a case against the renowned human rights defender, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo for distributing sweets in Srinagar on Pakistan’s Independence Day on Friday.

An FIR under the so-called Unlawful Activities Act has been registered against Muhammad Ahsan Untoo. Police said that Unoo had wrapped himself in Pakistani flag on the day and distributed sweets at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. The police said that investigations in the case were in progress and more sections could be invoked against the rights defender.
