Anti-locust operation completed over 1100,000 hectares: NLCC

The National Locust Control Center says joint teams formed to combat locust have carried out anti-locust operation on more than eleven hundred thousand hectares of affected area across the country.

According the latest details of desert locust issued by National Locust Control Centre, presence of desert locusts was reported from Tharpark and Nagarparkar areas adjacent to Indian border, while No locust was present in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Similarly, during the last 24 hours, about 194,500 hectares area was surveyed, whereas controlled operation was carried out on one thousand three hundred and twenty hectares area of district Tharparkar.

Aerial control operation with the help of Beaver Aircraft was also carried out over 400 hectares in the area Diplo of district Tharparkar.
