Amnesty International has expressed grave concern over intensified repression of rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in last three years.

In a briefing titled, “We are being punished by the law”: the human rights organization said in three years civil society, journalists, lawyers and human rights defenders faced relentless interrogations, arbitrary travel bans, revolving door detentions and repressive media policies.

Amnesty International also calls on the international community to hold India accountable for its grave human rights violations in occupied territory and facilitate immediate and independent investigation in the region.
