Administrator Karachi visits Industrial Park in Korangi Creek


Karachi, February 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that the construction of Korangi Creek Industrial Park consist of 250 acre land and Bin Qasim Industrial Park consist of 930 acre land would provide employment to thousands of people in Karachi and national and foreigner investments on large scale would promote industries in Karachi.

He said this during a visit of Industrial Park located in Korangi Creek where he was accompanied by Sr. Advisor JICA Japan Mr. Nagase, Komodor Kamran Mirza, Vice President of National Engineering Services Engineer Farhat Adil, Director General Technical Services Altaf G. Memon, Director Solid Waste Management, concerned engineers and officers.

He said establishment of Industrial park under public private partnership was a successful effort for promotion of small and middle level industries. He said infrastructure of Karachi was being improved especially in last two years several roads in Korangi areas were built, Korangi Cosway was widened to provide industries situated in Korangi Industrial Area and Korangi Creek with transportation facilities. He said construction of four roads in tannery zone were being completed at a time whereas CBM Bridge on corridor goes towards Ibrahim Hyderi was also being built.

Chief Executive Officer Industrial Park Mohsin M. Syed in a briefing informed Administrator Karachi that 200 multi-story factories in this industrial park would be built in which space in separate zone for each industry had been provided. He said youths coming to these sectors would be provided with vocational training so that trained youths with their skills could play vital role in promotion of industry.

He said plots would be allotted to such investors who would start their business immediately. He informed infrastructure of Industrial Park was being built with a cost of 3.5b and all industrialists under one window operation would be provided with all facilities.

Administrator Karachi said all facilities would be provided for establishment of Industry and national and foreigner investors would be welcomed and municipal problems would be resolved on priority basis. On this occasion Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed and Sr. Advisor JICA Japan planted a coconut plant in Korangi Creek Industrial Park and paid a detailed visit.
