Srinagar, January 01, 2017 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, it has been disclosed that Indian Army is illegally holding three civilians at its camp in Kupwara since November 2015.

This was revealed in an order of the High Court of the occupied territory. The court has sought objections to a petition seeking directions to authorities to disclose the authority under which three civilians are in custody of Indian Army’s Territorial Army at Kupwara since November 2015.

A bench of Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey asked Indian Defence Ministry, Chief of the Army Staff, Indian government, Commandant 160 Battalion Territorial Army and others to file objections to the petition.

Whereabouts of Ghulam Jeelani Khatana and Mir Hussain Khatana—residents of Gojar Patti (Satbonya) in Dardepora—and Ali Muhammad Sheikh of Dolipora Trehgam are not known since they were taken by 160 battalion of Territorial Army at Hiri camp in Kupwara.The petition has been filed by wives and other relatives of the missing people.
