Qaim Ali Shah presides law and order meeting

 

Karachi, February 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today presided a high level meeting regarding law and order situation in Sindh province, held at CM House. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, Principal Secretary to CM Muhammad Siddique Memon, I.G Police Sindh Fayaz Ahmed Leghari, A.I.G Police Karachi Mr. Iqbal Mehmood, A.I.G’s of Police for CID, Special and other branches, D.I.G’s of Police of Karachi Division.

Chief Minister Sindh speaking on the occasion directed the police department to make all out efforts to combat the situation prevailing in the province and strict measure be adopted to eradicate the menace of law lessness, crush the activities of criminals, terrorists, anti-social elements and those who are indulged in killings of people. Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that it is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies to strictly maintain the peace in the province and lives and properties of people be strictly protected.

Chief Minister Sindh while taking serious notice of blast attempts on Peer Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah near Jacobabad and shrine of Hajan Shah at Shikarpur directed the police officers to be vigilant, and careful about subversive activities of criminals and terrorists.

He directed to have extensive patrolling in Karachi, other prominent cities, commercial and trade centres various highways etc so as to keep peace in the province. He warned that activities of anti-state elements be curbed with ironhand. Later, the I.G Police Sindh and other concerned officers presented detailed briefing on law and order, and assured that concerted efforts are under way to maintain peace in the province.
