Prime Minister for simplification of existing procedures to attract foreign investment

Islamabad, February 06, 2013 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf while presiding over the 6th Board of Investment (BOI) Board meeting today at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat said that the Board of Investment should be further strengthened and directed it to evolve a mechanism to become more effective in facilitating investments in the country.

The Prime Minister said that it was ironic that Pakistan, which had one of the best investment policies on paper, failed to attract foreign investment.

The Board in its meeting held an in-depth discussion on ways and means to attract investment in the country which is critical to the growth of economy.
