Pakistan Coast Guards seize Opium from Naka Khari check post near Winder

 

Karachi, February 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized a fine quality of Opium from Naka Khari check post near Winder (Balochistan). PCG officials received information from intelligence sources about the smuggling of narcotics through RCD Highway.

Different passenger buses were stopped for checking at Naka Khari post near Winder. Early morning, during checking of a passenger bus, PCG officials recovered approx 21 kilograms of Opium from a couple, which was hidden under the clothes. Both the passengers were taken under custody along with Opium.

The passenger bus was moving from Kharan to Karachi. After complete search the bus was released being a public carrier. Further investigation and legal process is under way by the PCG “Special Investigation Team”.
