JIH demands release of innocent Muslim youth in India

Srinagar, February 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, has demanded immediate release of Muslim youth wrongly implicated in bomb blasts and other violent incidents and real culprits should be brought to book. Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari addressing a press conference in New Delhi welcomed the recent statement by Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde, wherein he had said that Bharatiya Janata Party and (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were fomenting terrorism in the country but only issuing statements was not sufficient.

“There is a need to take practical steps in view of information provided by Home Ministry and other investigative agencies,” the JIH President said and urged the Home Minister to order a high-level probe into the framing of Muslim youth in fake cases.

“Thorough investigation should be made about Bhonsala Military School, Nashik, Abhinav Bharat, Sanatan Sanstha and different Senas and every source of communalism and terrorism should be closed,” he demanded.

Referring to recent issue raised by Maharashtra Muslim community about a Bollywood movie ‘Vishwaroopam’, Umari said that the movie had hurt the sentiments of Muslim community. “They have projected Muslims in a wrong way and it is not acceptable,” he stated.
