European Parliament has urged Myanmar to halt hostilities against Rohingya Muslims.

In a statement, European Parliament called upon the Myanmar military to immediately cease the killings and the burning of their homes.

The Members of European Parliament have also called on Myanmar’s de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi to condemn the violence.

Meanwhile, United Nations has appealed for massive help for nearly 400,000 Muslims from Myanmar who have fled to Bangladesh.

While talking to media in Bangladesh, Director of Operations and Emergencies for the International Organization for Migration Mohammed Abdiker urged international community to step up humanitarian support.
